Your roles and responsibilities
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Merqato, you will be a key player in leveraging data to drive actionable insights and make data-driven decisions that contribute to our business success. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building the first product: Collaborate in a cross-functional team to build, optimise, evaluate and deploy the brains (forecasting algorithms) and face (data visuals) of our commercial MVP.
- Designing a future-proof infrastructure: Deploy explainable ML and AI solutions, implement model and data drift monitoring, and develop our processes to enable the team to rapidly productionise new models.
- Ensuring the platform performance: Develop our product analytics system to monitor our performance and drive product development decisions.
- Guaranteeing best-in-class technology: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments to always implement the right technology to support our impact.
What you need to succeed:
- Demonstrated forecasting experience (6+ years): You have a demonstrable track record of building and deploying forecasting models and are well-versed in various tools and frameworks.
- Solid ML skills: You are passionate about deploying ML pipelines and explainable AI solutions while keeping your hand on the pulse of the business to respond to the highest priority needs.
- Data Viz skills: You are outstanding at displaying easy to consume insights from complex time series and large datasets.
- Product-led team spirit: You’re an excellent communicator, team player and product-led ML engineer.
- Start up mindset: You have played a crucial role in an early-stage startup, demonstrating your ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- (Re) location: EU citizen and being able to relocate to the Netherlands.
